Unable to fight against his pride, Hyun Bin tries so hard to one-up Daniel Henney, who was in love with Jung Ryeo Won, Hyun Bin’s girlfriend at the time.
Hyun Bin suggests a game of basketball, but once he realizes that Daniel Henney is so much better, he changes game to swimming, his specialty. Hyun Bin beats Daniel Henney, and Daniel Henney, seeing right through Hyun Bin’s efforts, calls Hyun Bin cute, which lands him a punch in the face.
When Daniel Henney angrily asks why, Hyun Bin stares Daniel Henney right in the face and replies in his usual arrogant way:
“I don’t like you. You suck.”
And then the boys fight, because that’s just how boys solve their problems.
Another jewel appears in the same scene, when Daniel Henney stares at him and Hyun Bin replies, “What? Did you fall in love with me too?” leaving Daniel Henney absolutely flabbergasted.
